Pasta alla Prairie: A Night of Good Food and Growing Something Big

Our fifth annual Pasta alla Prairie brought friends, supporters, and community members together for an evening of good food, music, and a chance to see where our food is grown.

Held at our current borrowed farm at A Bar Bar Ranch, guests had the opportunity to wander through the gardens and high tunnels before settling in for the evening. The wind and rain gave us a little extra excitement, but everyone rolled with it and helped make the evening one to remember.

This year’s dinner raised more than $25,000 for the Edible Prairie Project. That support helps us continue growing and distributing fresh, locally produced food to families in our community while building the foundation for what comes next.

For years, we have grown food on just one borrowed acre. Today, we’re building toward something much bigger with our new 41-acre nonprofit farm. The new farm will give us room to expand our growing capacity and continue developing the infrastructure needed to support our work for years to come.

It’s exciting to see that vision becoming a reality, but our work is still happening right now. So far in 2026, the Edible Prairie Project has

• Packed 2,169 weekend food bags for local children during summer break

• Provided 290 free SNAP/WIC Veggie Baskets, with our fall season still to come

• Moved 3,151 food items through our Little Free Pantry network
